Hi everyone,
I have a 2017 ecosport, today whilst shopping I opened the boot, placed the keys on the back board, placed my pram inside and shut the boot to check it would fit with the keys still inside (and my son 😩), the car automatically locked.
Luckily I was close to home and able to get my spare key to open the car quickly BUT surely this shouldn’t happen if I had already unlocked the car, or is there a way to disable this automatic locking?
Very scary thought to have that happen further from home. And despite only being in the car for a couple of minutes it was very distressing for him.
I don’t have the dash auto lock on, so it can’t be that.
This may be obvious to some but I’ve had a look at the manual and as far as I can see the car should not be doing this .....
Thanks in advance
Georgia
