Ford have launched an Ecosport Storm version. It's only Brazil at the moment, in 4WD and includes a new grill, stickers and extra body mouldings.

Being 4WD would put the price up quite a bit.

Also most modern 4WD's especially SUV's (not jeeps) just runs on 2WD until road and weather conditions change to suit 4WD.

My previous Suzuki jeep (decades ago) had a separate stick on the gearbox to throw it into 4WD, and had differential lock as well.
That seems to be 'old hat, bolt and braces' technology, and its more into electronic control now,
ie, very iffy to know when 4WD kicks in
